SHPT training: learn about treatment options and earn CPD credits

10 October 2022

Earn up to 0.50 CPD credits by completing the Medscape Education module: ‘Which therapy for SHPT in ND-CKD? The experts discuss the options’

Although the module includes expert commentary in English, it is primarily intended for German-speaking nephrologists. The continued professional development (CPD) credits are only available to those who can complete the German-language portion of the module.

What will you learn?

Authored by professors James Wetmore,* Jan Kielstein and Markus Ketteler, this CPD module will help you to gain greater competence in:

  • Identifying non-dialysis chronic kidney disease (ND-CKD) patients who may benefit from new therapies for secondary   hyperparathyroidism (SHPT)
  • Implementing the new therapies in clinical practice to correct the imbalances caused by SHPT

The module, which is available until 18 May 2023, consists of a 34-minute presentation for German-speaking nephrologists and 10 minutes of expert commentary for English-speaking audiences. All slides used in the module are downloadable, as are the transcripts.

Start the module now to earn the CPD credits, or watch the expert English commentary.
