Module 2 of 3 from Prof. J Bover and colleagues delivers the latest perspectives of effective
SHPT treatment

Released in October 2019, the goal of module 2 of this comprehensive continuing professional development (CPD) course is to help you to enhance your understanding of treating secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) in clinical practice. Intended for non-US nephrologists, primary care physicians and diabetologists/endocrinologists, the module pays particular attention to the pathophysiology of SHPT and the guidelines associated with its management.

If you complete this module, you will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • The latest clinical data on emerging SHPT treatment options
  • The treatment guidelines associated with SHPT
  • The evidence-based treatment targets for SHPT
  • The pathophysiology of SHPT

You will also:

  • Develop a greater level of competence in the management of SHPT in daily clinical practice
  • Gain a maximum of 0.50 CPD credits

Module 2 features a guided roundtable discussion with professors Jordi Bover,* Mario Cozzolino, Kamyar Kalantar-Zadeh and Marcus Ketteler.§ The discussion is augmented by slides, which you can download.
